Handpainted Porcelain and Other Handpainted Gifts
Welcome to our studio! This is the place for you if you like art that is not merely decorative, but functional as well. If, like we, you enjoy art in ways other than just having it hang on a wall or sit behind glass, then our items would be happy to make their home with you. We encourage you to use them. You will find you enjoy them so much more, we promise. And because we believe so strongly in that, we have tried to price them as reasonably as possible so that you will feel comfortable about handling and using them. Prices are based on the complexity of the design, and on the cost and rarity of the unpainted piece. Some of these are one-of-a-kind treasures uncovered during our travels, while others are no longer to be had, and these carry a slight price premium.
Every item is completely handpainted, including the gold and platinum borders and details (unless specified otherwise), and each is, therefore, unique. We do not use transfers, nor stencils. Most of the designs are our artist's own, although some are taken from books or based on original designs by well-known porcelain makers, such as Meissen and KPM.
